Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy is a process that occurs between the psychotherapist and client to help the client cope with, resolve, and/or gain greater insight into a wide range of problems. The purpose of psychotherapy includes, but is not limited to providing symptom relief, fostering personal growth, increasing coping skills, and developing greater insight into and understanding of the self. I only work with individuals 18 and above. I can provide the following types of psychotherapy services:
Individual Psychotherapy
Couples Psychotherapy
Group Psychotherapy
Psychological Assessments: Psychological assessments can be conducted to answer a wide range of questions. It is often a tool used to examine things such as the cognitive and social/emotional factors that may be causing difficulties in a person's life or identifying problems such AD/HD and/or learning disabilities.
Mental Health Evaluations: Mental Health Evaluations (MHEs) are typically conducted to discern an individual's overall emotional and psychological well-being. MHEs involve an in-depth interview and, in some cases, the completion of a self-report questionnaire. I provide MHE services for individuals seeking an evaluation for issues such as pre-surgical review or fertility-related matters.
Consultation: I am available to meet with individuals to answer questions related to psychological issues or services. Such issues may include consulting to help determine whether psychological treatment might be beneficial, to help interpret or explain results from previous psychological testing, or address any number of other psychologically related questions.
